We craft our fragrances in the essence of artisan perfumery—each scent is meticulously composed by an independent perfumer, handcrafted in Poland using traditional techniques and the highest quality raw materials. In the selection of ingredients for our perfumes, we carefully contemplate their connection to the narrative being conveyed and whether they authentically capture the spirit and nuances of a particular era.

Author illustrations

One of the biggest challenges in designing Chronicles was the transfer of ideas. Recognizing that a perfume, coupled with a literary narrative about a historical event, wouldn't suffice to seamlessly unite these elements into a cohesive experience, we opted to adorn our product wrappers with panoramic illustrations crafted by a skilled artist. Throughout the creation of these visuals, we engaged in a collaborative exchange of insights, shaping crucial components such as the layout, color palette, and lighting. With this method, we are confident that we've successfully narrated a unified story through three distinct mediums.

Preparing graphics referring not only to historical events but also to fragrances was something new for me, and the enthusiasm and passion of the authors made the work pure fun. The origins of the Chronicles brand traces back over two years before its market debut. At every stage of the project implementation, our priority was the complete lack of compromises. We aimed for the final product to align precisely with our initial conceptual vision.

Dedicated efforts were invested in meticulously setting the perfume itself - the focal point of our endeavors. We explored a diverse array of materials, often blending them in unconventional ways. With such attention to details, we emphasize the values that lie at the basis of history itself, which our ancestors built with great effort and dedication.

The concept underlying Chronicles opens up almost limitless possibilities.

When conceptualizing the brand's visuals, we recognized the imperative of allowing historical events, portrayed through scent, to take center stage. The essence of the chosen story and the overarching spirit of the era guided us in shaping forms, colors, and words. Following a meticulous analysis of ideas, we draped our composition in distinct layers - crafting labels, illustrations, and literary narratives. Our intense focus on details aimed to ensure that the product itself could narrate the story as comprehensively as possible.

Above this variable layer, unique to each composition, lies the shared identification of Chronicles. To avoid introducing stylistic chaos, this element inherently needed to be entirely ahistorical. We opted for a diverse range of materials—from classic wood to metal alloys, employing the traditional letterpress printing method. The widely recognized symbols of the flowing passage of time served as the foundation for the creation of our logotype.
