Many of us are acquainted with the sensation that emerges when, after a prolonged hiatus, we grasp for the fragrance that accompanied us during the most pivotal moments of our lives. A powerful, olfactory flashback that resurrects memories as vividly as if we as if we momentarily traveled back in time. This overwhelming experience, awakening from sleep afterimages of past moments, became the direct inspiration for the creation of Chronicles.
However, we decided to go one step further - beyond the boundaries of our own memories. To reach for inspiration recorded in the annals of history - to the most significant events in human history.
Thus, due to the imaginative contributions of Konrad Zablocki and Alan Balewski, a truly unique olfactorial time machine came into existence.

At Chronicles, we depart from the conventional approach of creating a fragrance composition and later assigning names and marketing narratives, thereby avoiding the inevitable dissonance between the composition and the intended message. We always begin our work with a search for inspiration and in-depth analysis of the historical background. In the next step, we set ourselves a realization framework by carefully selecting notes and chords, which we experimentally test in our own studio.
Our aim is to present our olfactory interpretation of past events in the most comprehensive manner possible. In conveying the emotions associated with history, we look for olfactorical inspirations in reliable analyses, taking into account a whole range of factors such as the geography of the region, key cultural elements, historical sources, the broadly understood "spirit" of the event and, finally, its far-reaching consequences.
